CA Firms in Bengaluru: what the practice actually looks like

The Bengaluru practice mix is unusual because so much of the client base has foreign parents or foreign investors. Koramangala and HSR firms live inside startup finance: SAFE and CCPS accounting, ESOP perquisite valuation, Section 56(2)(viib) questions on premium, DPIIT recognition, and the monthly grind of investor reporting packs. Whitefield and Electronic City firms serve GCCs and IT services exporters, so transfer pricing studies, Form 3CEB, SOFTEX filings, cost-plus markup benchmarking and FIRC-backed GST refunds on export of services are routine. Biotech and aerospace clients around Peenya and Jala Hobli add R&D capitalisation and customs duty exemption work. Almost every firm here also handles inbound entity setup — subsidiary incorporation, FC-GPR filings with RBI, and Form 15CA/CB for royalty and management-fee remittances back to a US or Singapore parent. Due-diligence data requests from acquirers arrive with brutal deadlines.

Bengaluru is India’s software capital and its startup capital at the same time. Electronic City and Whitefield hold the large IT services and captive engineering centres, while Koramangala, Indiranagar and the HSR belt are thick with early-stage SaaS companies, agencies and D2C brands. Aerospace, defence electronics and biotech research add a deep-tech layer most other Indian cities do not have.

Karnataka accounts for the largest share of India’s software exports, and almost all of it flows through Bengaluru. The city hosts the country’s densest concentration of technology startups and global capability centres, along with major public-sector aerospace and defence research establishments.
