Law Firms in Hyderabad: what the practice actually looks like

Since the 2019 bifurcation, the Telangana High Court sits at Hyderabad and the Andhra Pradesh High Court at Amaravati, so a Hyderabad practice that once filed for both states now has to decide jurisdiction carefully and often engages Amaravati counsel. Land litigation dominates the civil docket — assigned land, Urban Land Ceiling legacy matters, Wakf Board disputes and title chains complicated by decades of unregistered agreements around the western corridor. Criminal work runs through the sessions courts at Nampally, with a special CBI court and dedicated economic-offence courts. Hyderabad pairs a very large IT corridor with an equally serious pharma and life-sciences base. HITEC City, Madhapur and Gachibowli host global capability centres for some of the world’s biggest technology firms, while Genome Valley and the industrial belt around the city are home to a dense cluster of bulk drug, formulation and CRO companies. Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills carry the consulting, media and real-estate businesses that serve them.

Hyderabad is one of India’s two largest pharmaceutical manufacturing hubs, with a heavy concentration of bulk drug and formulation units, and Genome Valley is among the country’s earliest organised life-sciences clusters.
